Commonly used in hospital-based newborn screening.
Screens for a range of sound frequencies critical for normal speech and language development.
Can help detect sensorineural hearing loss.
Quick and painless, a soft probe is placed in the ear.
Does not require response from child.
Follow up testing for a failed test and/or referral to specialist provided as needed.
